Jeremy Sewall Reader’s Choice Winner

On June 23rd food writers, cookbook authors, chefs, readers and fans gathered at the Boston Public Library for the 2nd Annual Readable Feast Culinary Cookbook Awards and Gala. Among those honored were Doctor Walter Willett who has spent his career studying the effects of diet and nutrition on disease, publishing several books in the process. Also honored for her lifetime achievement was Mary Ann Esposito, creator and host of the PBS series, Ciao Italia, now in its 26th season. Her work is committed to the preservation of Italian food and culture.

Taking home the Reader’s Choice Award was Let’s Talk About Food mainstage participant, Chef Jeremy Sewall for his book Oysters: A Celebration in the Raw co-authored with Marion Lear Swaybill. The book was published by Abbeville Press.

We look forward to having Jeremy on the mainstage at this year’s festival talking and demoing recipes with New England seafood and alongside celebrated industry experts.
